They may use ritual energy in their magical workings, however, kitchen witchery typically involves environmental energies, such as herbs, foods, oils and everyday objects. Kitchen witches, for the most part, are pretty practical, they aren't super strict about ingredients, they are very much willing to improvise if need be and make substitutions where needed.
